- Harper, Stephen (Right Hon.) in Calgary, AB
"Stephen Harper is single-handedly destroying my Canada. I love this country but he is turning it into a place that I recognize less every day. Why are we allowing this dictatorship in a country that was strong and free, that was open and socially fair, that was kind and peace-loving..."
- Harper, Stephen (Right Hon.) in Calgary, AB
"Stephen Harper should be removed from Ottawa forthwith. There are absolutely NO constructive terms to describe what Harper has and is doing to the once soverign nation of Canada. I still cannot understand how 60% of voters voted AGAINST HIM and he is not the so called leader of the country. Something needs to change with our political system. This is not democracy..."
- Harper, Stephen (Right Hon.) in Calgary, AB
"Mr. Harper, you should cool your jets before rushing into lacing toxic tar sands oil pipelines across our Canadian landscape. The latest ExxonMobil pipeline spill of 42,000 gallons (I figure you probably understand American better than Canadian) into the Yellowstone River (Montana) should be proof enough that with "state-of-the-art" pipeline technology, your oil giant buddies cannot be trusted with the safety of our environment and economies..."
- Nick Chudak, Hard Talk About Humanity TM in Toronto, ON
"I recently watched a movie called "Into the Fire" which independently chronicled the events involving police and people in Toronto, Ontario during the Toronto summit of G20 representatives in 2010. To put it simply, I was shocked and disturbed by what I saw. I could not believe that this actually happened on Canadian soil. This could have just as easily been a documentary about Chinese soldiers running over student protesters in tanks, were it not for the language and obvious location..."
- Nick Chudak, Hard Talk About Humanity TM in Toronto, ON
"True humanity knows no borders, so it should come as little surprise to discover that great things are going on south of the Canada/US border in the way of sensible sustainable housing. Michael E Reynolds is an amazing biotect and his eco-ingenious shelters made from plastic bottles, rubber tires, glass, and earth (lots of it!) have been chronicled in an Oliver Hodge Film called "Garbage Warrior"..."
- Elections Canada in Ottawa, ON
"As a civic-minded Canadian taxpaying citizen, I have voted in most Federal and Provincial elections since 1976 - with pride and confidence in electoral systems which I believed to be of the highest integrity. But since this last May/2011 Federal Election, I can no longer state this claim with the same conviction. From my personal experience of voting in the May/2011 Canadian Federal Election, I now have serious doubts and grave concerns about how elections are run in Canada today..."
- Nick Chudak, Hard Talk About Humanity TM in Toronto, ON
"I would like to welcome you to this latest Conscientious Technologies™ project! Hard Talk About Humanity™ is a place where all (and ONLY) HUMANS are invited to dig, discuss, and RESOLVE issues related to advancing humanity around the world. Leave your corporate charters behind, as this place is for REAL people who are genuinely interested in facing the hard truths of the world WE have collectively enabled..."
- Weston, Rodney in Saint-John, NB
"I'm a postal worker, and a mom of three, I have been with Canada Post for about ten years. As for the lockout if Canada Post gets their way, they will freeze my sick time, we get about a day and a quarter a month that I can access so that I am paid if I get sick. Under the new contract I will lose the right to access my sick time. Wages aren't the issue..."
- Harper, Stephen (Right Hon.) in Calgary, AB
"RE: Stephen Harper's conservative government siding with management, by introducing anti-union legislation, effectively denying 48,000 Canadian workers' their basic democratic right to free collective bargaining... This does not come as any surprise, especially with Harper's majority "mandate fantasy". Stephen Harper and his conservative government is pro-global-corporate and, as many of us know, Corporate America and Corporate Canada just don't like the idea of their workers having access to bargaining tools - especially if it threatens the bottom line..."
- Harper, Stephen (Right Hon.) in Calgary, AB
"How is Stephen Harper's spending of our tax dollars in the tens of millions of dollars, and with virtually no paperwork/audit trail, not patronage? Even the Auditor General has officially declared that Stephen Harper's Conservatives withheld pertinent details about a $50 million dollar G8 fund..."
- Clark, Christy (aka Christy Clark, BC Liberals Premier) in Vancouver, BC
""Heads, I win. Tails, you lose." – sound familiar? When I first heard my friends talking about being uncertain of whether or not to vote "against the HST", I did not understand their confusion. But as more details of the wording related to the HST referendum are revealed, what was a clear, cut and dried, issue, is once again muddled and incomprehensible by the mass voting population. Proporportional representation seemed to fall victim to the same style of obfuscation. Points to the government for being able to turn around what should have been a slam dunk (or slam drunk if Gordon Campbell was still driving) issue..."
- Harper, Stephen (Right Hon.) in Calgary, AB
"So what's $50 million tax dollars virtually "gifted under the table" - we're all Canadians aren't we? We know how important is is to ensure that squeaky wheels get greased. After all, if Canadians were told in detail how every dollar of their taxes was spent, they would not have any time left to watch American hockey players push a puck around the ice in Canada's longest (foreign-owned) beer and cell phone commercial - the NHL..."
- Harper, Stephen (Right Hon.) in Calgary, AB
"They say you can tell the character of a man (or woman) by their enemies. I'm not talking about Stephen Harper. I'm talking about former auditor general Sheila Fraser. Just read her reports, and now those of the interim auditor general, John Baird. The reports are virtual indictments (without quite enough legal proof) to cast suspicious light on the methods and practices of a conservative government which prefers to maneuver in the dark..."
- Harper, Stephen (Right Hon.) in Calgary, AB
"Anyone who has "enjoyed" the privilege of sitting eyeball to eyeball with Canada's greatest panhandlers of all, the tax auditors, knows how They feel about accounts classified as "Miscellaneous". So how is it that the same government which unleashes these insatiable thugs (by practice) on the people who actually make Canada work, get to use "Miscellaneous" in there accounting - in this case "Infrastructure" is the obfuscating term..."
- Harper, Stephen (Right Hon.) in Calgary, AB
"Regarding Stephen Harper pushing forward his agenda to lock down the Canada/US border, US Patriot Act style, I'm not surprised that our prince of proroguing is doing his best to keep Canadians out of the loop (one week comment period), but that does not make this Canadian sovereignty/trade issue any less critical. It's clear that Steve wants Barack to be his friend, now that his buddy George W. Bush is gone, but making concessions with a US President whose record seems to remain on track with George W. Bush's foreign and trade policies is no way to do it..."
- Harper, Stephen (Right Hon.) in Calgary, AB
"Usually, choosing to pass on a politician may involve considering an aggregate of many small issues, but in the case of (hopefully, soon to be former) PM Stephen Harper, virtually every basic tenant of his record is seriously short of the satisfactory and seriously deficient in leadership..."
- Harper, Stephen (Right Hon.) in Calgary, AB
"It WAS a beautiful quiet spring morning here In Courtenay, on Vancouver Island, until just a few minutes ago when a cluster of booming military jet fighters buzzed my neighbourhood. My livestock is still running in panic and I wonder if anyone has even told Stephen Harper that Canada under his leadership is BROKE! With gasoline at almost a buck thirty per litre, we cannot afford to waste our fuel on macho boys in their war toys ripping up the neighbourhood..."
- Harper, Stephen (Right Hon.) in Calgary, AB
"The sign of a great leader is being able to face the unexpected full on. This is a trait which Stephen Harper clearly DOES NOT HAVE! His campaign rule limiting reporters to five (safe) questions per day is just the latest in a series of demonstrations of his POLITICAL COWARDICE..."
- Harper, Stephen (Right Hon.) in Calgary, AB
"Regarding the political record of Stephen Bush, um I mean, George W. Harper. Oh I just have trouble telling the two apart. I remember now. One has a silly perma-smurk and the other hides from the press and shuts down government whenever things don't go his way...."
- Harper, Stephen (Right Hon.) in Calgary, AB
"The striking similarity in policies and practices of Stephen Harper and George W. Bush are not lost on most of the "thinking" population in Canada and abroad, and yet, while our American cousins have already figured out what kind of devastation ultra-Conservative policies lead to, we just sit back and let Harper grind the Canadian economy and OUR international reputation into the ground..."
- BC Liberal Party (aka BC Liberals, Drunk Driver Father of HST ex-PM Gordon Campbell's Party) in Vancouver, BC
"There's a point where fiscal efficacy and plain old greed switch places. As far as I'm concered, this is the case of the BC Liberal Party's free market global trade economy policies and practices (as evidenced and exercised under ex-PM Gordon Campbell, well-known for getting off a drunk driving rap in Hawaii, where many others would have been behind bars and stamped felons for life)..."
- Clark, Christy (aka Christy Clark, BC Liberals Premier) in Vancouver, BC
"Employers who pay minimum wage are bosses who want to pay the very least legally possible to their workers, and minimum wage is the tool which allows them to do so. Even after newbie PM Christ Clark's initial token bumps to the minimum wage in BC will eventually take effect, we will still hold the record of having the lowest minimum wage in all of Canada..."
- Campbell, Gordon (aka Drunk Driver/HST BC Liberals PM, QUIT his job) in Vancouver, BC
"Many would agree that ex-Premier BC Gordon Campbell's case of drunk driving in Hawaii, and his subsequent release from the burden of a conviction which many, if not most others in the same situation, would have to carry for the rest of their lives, speaks to the reality of elitism and affluence in politics in BC..."
- BC Liberal Party (aka BC Liberals, Drunk Driver Father of HST ex-PM Gordon Campbell's Party) in Vancouver, BC
"In my almost three decades of calling British Columbia home, I have concluded that, as many in and out of BC suggest, BC politics are probably the most corrupt politics in action. And, while this notorious accreditation is not limited to a particular party, I have been most offended by the BC "Liberals"..."
- Clark, Christy (aka Christy Clark, BC Liberals Premier) in Vancouver, BC
"Here comes Christy Clark, the new (and improved? - yah, right!) Premier of British Columbia - just in time to sanitize the BC Liberal public record and maybe to toss a few bones to the very desperate (thanks to the BC Liberals) and pick up some grand opening political points..."

Canadian Military Spending REPORTS
$30,737,027,797 Canadian taxpayer loonies, across 48,036 DND contracts we have examined so far, represent just a portion of what the Government of Canada aimed at the Canadian Military Industrial Complex from April 2004 through September 2009. While these figures may seem staggering (because THEY ARE), this does not even scratch the surface of how much of our hard earned public funds are spent on Canada's very own "war machine" EACH AND EVERY DAY!
Why are we spending billions to fight wars with people who have NEVER attacked us, while what remains of the local Canadian manufacturing industry is being decimated by transnationals and hardworking Canadians across the country are being assaulted DAILY by an unprecedented global-economy-caused recession?

ABOUT this Canadian Military Spending Website
If you're staring at this page, wondering what to make of it, here's a bit of information which might be helpful.
We are NOT affiliated in any way with the Government of Canada!
The makers of this website about Canadian military spending are not in any way affiliated with the Department of National Defence (aka DND, Canadian military industrial complex), nor the Canadian Forces (aka CF, Canadian military, Canadian army), nor any other department or branch of the Government of Canada. We are private citizens, deeply concerned with the growing democratic deficit in our country and we are committed to exercising our constitutional and moral rights to defend Canada, our nation, through the raising of public awareness and facilitation of essential debate.
We believe in the DEMOCRATIC process!
While our present assortment of politicians and government officials may seem suspiciously more subordinate to the interests of large corporations rather than the actual PEOPLE of Canada, we do believe that the democractic process of Canada is still in good enough shape to allow for the appropriate revelations and adjustments required to weed out the patronage, call out the globalists, and bring the people of Canada back to the helm of our nation!
The economic crisis is the RESULT of globalism!
If you're tired of hearing politicians spin the "economic crisis" into another anomalous external agent afflicting us, rather than owning this global financial disaster as the direct consequence of global economy, you will find yourself in good company here. Many Canadians like us, feel they pay more than enough in taxes, and when we compare what we actually GET for our money, we are far from satisfied!
Being offensive is NOT a good defence!
There was a time, when Canada was known and respected around the world as a PEACE-KEEPING nation. We did not start wars, nor did we enter into wars which were in violation of the United Nations, human rights, or sovereignty of other countries. Sadly, this has changed, and now OUR TAX DOLLARS are being spent in ways which are very contrary to the spirit and will of so many Canadians!
Our public funds are being WASTED!
How the government gives away and spends the hard earned money pried from the worn hands of Canadians is shameful and misguided. This website sheds a very different light on how the Government of Canada disposes of our public funds and encourages Canadians all across the nation to look at this issue, talk about it, and PARTICIPATE in lawful democratic ways to stop this waste!
You CAN make a difference!
Through discussion, consumer choice, and personal campaigning, YOU CAN raise awareness about what's wrong with the way in which Canadian public funds are being abused and help steer our nation back to a better path. Say NO to globalism! Support LOCAL businesses, INDEPENDENT media, and leaders who truly LISTEN and ACT on YOUR behalf!
